On 12 April 'Dutch Colonial Slavery and Its Afterlives: 2025-2035 Research Agenda' will be launched. This afternoon celebrates the publication through reflections on future research.
At the Anton de Kom University of Suriname a symposium was hosted. It shared new insights and approaches in education and research on Transatlantic-slavery and its impact on Suriname.
A symposium held by the UoC on new insights and approaches to researching and teaching about the colonial slavery past and its repercussions in the Dutch Caribbean islands and Suriname.
A seminar on new perspectives on the slavery past of the Netherlands. Along side Dutch historian Wim Manuhutu, various projects on the slavery past from a variety of institutions were discussed.
The official launch of the book Staat en slavernij. A first copy of the book was presented to Minister Hanke Bruin Slot. Subsequently, followed by a short presentation by the editorial board and Bruin Slot herself.
